I began sewing on my mom’s knee when I was five years old. Mom pushed the foot pedal and guided my hands as I made a bib for my doll, and I still have that bib! Clothing was my main sewing interest for most of my life until I discovered quilting ten years ago. After spending many years learning and improving my quilting skills, I began to explore the art quilt world. The minute I discovered the free-form quilting style, I fell in love with that creative and intuitive style of quilting. My inspiration and color pallet comes from the Kansas landscapes in which I live and from my travels across the Southwest. As I travel I collect color and texture ideas for my next quilt, and I always return ready and anxious to transform my inspiration into a work of art!
